From News Center (Text by Qin Yanxin, School of Automotive Engineering; Photo by Liang Yanying, International Exchange Department (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office)) On December 19, the Championship Challenge of the "AI Super League" 2025 AI Empowering Education Innovation and Application Competition hosted by the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region successfully concluded at the Guangxi Academy of Artificial Intelligence. The LZPU Construction Machinery Team, jointly formed by the School of Automotive Engineering, School of Electronic Information Engineering, and International Exchange Department, garnered the silver medal in the education corpus innovation and application category with their project, Multimodal Corpus Construction and Intelligent Application for International Talent Development in Construction Machinery under the Belt and Road Initiative. This achievement highlights LZPU's exceptional results in the integrated innovation of "AI + vocational education" and international talent development.
The competition was themed "AI Empowering Education: Collaboration, Integration, and Co-Creation," aiming to promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application in "AI + education." A total of 1,990 teams from across the region registered to participate. After fierce competition, LZPU's project emerged in the education corpus innovation and application category, capturing the first prize and ranking among the top five, thereby advancing to the championship challenge roadshow and ultimately earning the silver medal out of 16 finalist teams.
This project focuses on the international talent development needs in the construction machinery sector under the Belt and Road Initiative. Leveraging the strong foundation of deep school-enterprise cooperation between LZPU and LiuGong, it integrates eight autonomous region-level international courses and over 300 real corporate cases to build a structured construction machinery corpus in multiple languages, including Chinese, English, Indonesian, and Thai. The project is also developing an intelligent application hub that integrates semantic search, multilingual Q&A, and visualization generation technologies. This platform delivers precise and efficient knowledge services and learning support for both domestic education and overseas technical training, aiming to accelerate the training process for overseas engineers and support the global expansion of China's equipment manufacturing.
During the preparation for the competition, LZPU placed great emphasis on project development and resource integration, establishing a cross-school, cross-departmental collaborative team. Multiple rounds of discussions and simulated roadshows were conducted around project architecture, technical implementation, and application scenarios, continuously optimizing project logic and presentation quality. This award not only recognizes the project team's innovative capabilities, but also demonstrates LZPU's active efforts and successful practices in advancing vocational education internationally and supporting the Belt and Road Initiative.
